10 Year Smart Drive Motor Warranty

Do you qualify?

You will qualify:

  • If your serial number at the back of your console starts with a C, D or U (and you have recently purchased it).
  • If you have an original proof of purchase that shows you paid for the product in full on or after 1st September 2010 or
  • If you have commenced payment for the purchase of the product as part of a credit arrangement with the retailer on or after 1st September 2010.

Asia Warranty

You receive a 1 year Manufacturer's Warranty with the purchase of this Product covering parts and labour for servicing within the country of purchase.

If your product qualifies, you also receive an additional NINE YEAR parts only warranty on your Direct Drive motor. This additional 9 year warranty commences on the day following the expiry of the 1 year Manufacturer's Warranty and excludes the Rotor Position Sensor, motor controller and labour. Fisher & Paykel will repair (as to parts) or, at its option, replace any Direct Drive motor (but not the Rotor Position Sensor or motor controller) which is found to be defective within this additional warranty period. You will be responsible for any labour costs.

Australia Warranty

You receive a 2 year Manufacturer's Warranty with this product. Fisher & Paykel Appliances will repair (or at its option replace) any part which is found to be defective within TWO YEARS from date of purchase, without cost to you for either parts or labour.

You also receive an additional EIGHT YEAR parts only warranty on your Direct Drive Motor. This additional 8 year warranty commences on the day following the expiry of the two year manufacturer's Warranty and excludes the motor controller and labour.

Fisher & Paykel Appliances will repair (as to parts) or, at its option replace any Direct Drive Motor (but not the motor controller) which is found to be defective within this additional warranty period. You will be responsible for any labour costs, including applicable call-out or service fees and freight.

To make a claim under any warranty, call customer care 1300 650 590. Or email aus.customercare@fisherpaykel.com. Service under any warranty must be provided by an authorised Fisher & Paykel Appliances Service provider. Use other than in accordance with the product user guide and other than for normal domestic use may invalidate any warranty. This warranty is an extra benefit and does not affect your legal rights. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. You must retain your original proof of purchase. Failure to produce proof of purchase when requested may, at Fisher & Paykel's discretion, invalidate your claim. New Zealand Warranty

You receive a 2 year Manufacturer's Warranty with the purchase of this Product covering parts and labour for servicing within the country of purchase.

If your product qualifies, you also receive an additional EIGHT YEAR parts only warranty on your Direct Drive motor. This additional 8 year warranty commences on the day following the expiry of the 2 year Manufacturer's Warranty and excludes the Rotor Position Sensor, motor controller and labour. Fisher & Paykel will repair (as to parts) or, at its option, replace any Direct Drive motor (but not the Rotor Position Sensor or motor controller) which is found to be defective within this additional warranty period. Singapore Warranty

You receive a 2 year Manufacturer's Warranty with the purchase of this Product covering parts and labour for servicing within the country of purchase.

If your product qualifies, you also receive an additional EIGHT YEAR parts only warranty on your Direct Drive motor. This additional 8 year warranty commences on the day following the expiry of the 2 year Manufacturer's Warranty and excludes the Rotor Position Sensor, motor controller and labour. Fisher & Paykel will repair (as to parts) or, at its option, replace any Direct Drive motor (but not the Rotor Position Sensor or motor controller) which is found to be defective within this additional warranty period. You will be responsible for any labour costs.

USA / Canada Warranty

When you purchase any new Fisher & Paykel whiteware product for personal or consumer use you automatically receive a one year limited warranty covering parts and labor for servicing within the 48 mainland United States, Hawaii, Washington DC and Canada. If your product qualifies, you also receive an additional 9 year parts only warranty on the Direct Drive motor part only. This additional 9 year warranty commences on the day following the expiry of the one year limited warranty and excludes the Rotor Position Sensor, motor controller and labor.

In Alaska the limited warranty, and, if your product qualifies. additional 9 year Direct Drive motor part only warranty (excluding the Rotor Position Sensor, motor controller and labor) is the same except that you must pay to ship the product to the service shop or the service technician's travel to your home. Products for use in Canada must be purchased through the Canadian distribution channel to ensure regulatory compliance.

If the product is installed in a motor vehicle, boat or similar mobile facility, you receive the same one year limited warranty, and, if your product qualifies, additional 9 year Direct Drive motor part only warranty (excluding the Rotor Position Sensor, motor controller and labor) but you must bring the vehicle, boat or mobile facility containing the product to the service shop at your expense or pay the service technician's travel to the location of the product.
