Silver Ferns Calendar/Canteen Promotion

In October this year Fisher & Paykel & Netball New Zealand were proud to launch "The Silver Ferns Calendar". This is a fundraising initiative for youth cancer charity CanTeen.

The calendar features the twelve Silver ferns squad members from the 2007 Netball World Championships. Focusing on a player each month, the calendar has a mix of action and casual photographs along with personal messages from the players. This gives fans a unique opportunity to own some of the best images of their favorite netballers, whilst supporting the important work done by CanTeen.

These calendars were made possible through the support of photographer Michael Bradley and Creativebank, who provided the calendars photography and design free of charge to ensure maximum funds could be raised for CanTeen.

The calendars are available nationwide and retail at $19.95 with proceeds going to support CanTeen work. The calendar is available from the following retailers: Whitcoulls, Take Note, Paperplus, The Warehouse and Calendar Club.

New Zealand to sign on with the Silver Ferns.

In a show of support for the Silver Ferns bid to defend their title at next month’s New World Netball World Champs, Fisher & Paykel are inviting Kiwis to join them in signing on with the Silver Ferns during their ‘Sign On with Fisher & Paykel New Zealand Tour’.

Ever wanted to write on the side of a truck without getting in trouble? Well here’s your chance!! Fisher & Paykel are touring a truck the length of the country gathering messages of support for the Silver Ferns World Champs defense. At each stop local supporters will have the chance to sign the side of the truck to show their support for the team. The aim is to collect as many signatures as possible throughout the country, upon completion of the tour the truck will be displayed at the Waitakere Trusts Stadium to greet the Silver Ferns at the opening ceremony of the World Champs. The truck will then remain on display throughout the competition.

Current Silver Ferns captain Adine Wilson will be in Invercargill to see off the truck as it begins its long journey to Auckland. Along the way the tour will be joined by past and present Silver Ferns and a number of local celebrities. At selected locations, the World Championship Cup will be on display to the public.

Fisher & Paykel are also giving away an all expenses paid trip for two to the Netball World Champs, so if you missed out on tickets come along to sign the truck and put your name in the draw for this fantastic prize!

'Sign On With The Silver Ferns' New Zealand Tour Dates

Overall the tour will cover 30 destinations in 22 days, launching in Invercargill on Labour Day, 22 October and winding up at the Waitakere Trusts Stadium (venue of the 2007 Netball World Champs) on 10 November. The tour will stop at each location for approximately 1-1.5 hours.

Fisher & Paykel supporting grass roots netball

As part of Fisher & Paykel's commitment to New Zealand Netball, the sponsorship team were involved in the Pukekohe Netball Centre's Opening Day for 2007. Fisher & Paykel are proud sponsors of Netball and this event gave the team an opportunity to contribute to the grassroots of the game.

It was a great day with 176 netball teams taking to the court for the opening day of this year’s season. The day included an official team march pass and opening ceremony while Fisher & Paykel ran a promotion, shooting competitions and even gave away a bar fridge signed by the world champion Silver Ferns! Of course the star of the day was Netty who performed some great moves on the court!
