SmartDrive™ Technology

It takes a lot of brainpower to make things really simple. That, in a sentence, is the essence of SmartDrive™. Traditional washing machines are made up of many moving parts. Their complexity also means there's a lot that can go wrong with them. Fisher & Paykel SmartDrive™ machines are made of just three main parts: a small computer, a flexible agitator, and a simple direct-drive motor. This means washing machines that can sense each load, use less water and run with less moving parts.

SmartDrive™ comprises just three main parts: a small computer, a flexible agitator, and a simple direct-drive motor that allow the machines to sense each load, use less water and run with less moving parts.

Precise Sensing = Better Performance

In-built thermometer to precisely mix water to the required temperature. This saves power by making washing in cooler temperatures possible throughout the year.

Quicker Spin = Reduces Drying Time and Cost

All SmartDrive™ washers spin to a speed of 1000rpm. They remove up to 2 1/2 litres more water per load than other washing machines, reducing drying time and drying cost.

Reverse Tumbling

Reversing the tumbling direction is key to preventing tangling and twisting of garments in the load. A reversing Dryer will produce clothes less wrinkles and clothes will be dried more evenly.

The Quad Fin design rotates and propels clothes from the front to the back of the drum in a continuous 360° movement, creating faster and more even drying throughout the load.

Wrinkle Free

Clothes are tumbled through cool air periodically until you are ready to remove them. This minimises wrinkles and ironing.

Dryness Sensing

Auto-sensing automatically senses when the clothes have reached the required level of dryness, saving you money and time.
