Introducing AeroSmartT, the Top Loading
Dryer with Reverse Tumbling Action

HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA – The latest
addition to Fisher & Paykel's world's first large
capacity top loading dryer is AeroSmart™. Matched
perfectly to the new AquaSmart® clothes washer, AeroSmart™ boasts
incredibly fast dry times, huge capacity and superior
clothing care.
AeroSmart’s top-loading format has obvious ergonomic
advantages, but also touts unique features and functionality.
AeroSmart™ offers reverse-tumble drying. The dryer’s
drum tumbles both forward and reverse – unlike
traditional dryers that only tumble in one direction.
This feature significantly reduces creasing and tangling,
as clothes are not constantly being rolled into a ‘ball’.
This makes ironing of clothing much easier and is an
especially useful feature when drying large items like
sheets and towels. Reverse tumbling also significantly
improves the evenness of drying.
AeroSmart™ has many additional convenience features,
such as a self-cleaning lint screen and lint reservoir
that does not have to be emptied for up to 15 cycles
(unlike traditional clothes dryers whose filters need
to be cleaned after every cycle). AeroSmart™ has
five drying cycles including a wrinkle guard, timed drying
for greater control and automatic cool down on all cycles.
Automatic dryness sensing constantly checks the dampness
of clothing in the drum, and begins the cool-down cycle
when the desired level of dryness has been achieved.
The dryer has a large capacity stainless steel drum and
self-leveling feet. A lid lock provides added safety
by preventing the lid from opening when the drum is in
motion.
Placed next to one of Fisher & Paykel’s top-loading
washing machines, your clothes will not only come out
fluffier, but they will also spend less time drying.
That’s because Fisher & Paykel’s top-loading
clothes washers spin at 1000-rpm, which removes more
of
the water from the clothing. AeroSmart™ is a convenient
and smart choice for your drying needs.
AeroSmart™ is assembled in the USA at Fisher & Paykel's Clyde
Ohio factory. The new control panel includes and LCD interface with capacitive
touch buttons, 18 Lifecycles, and is programmable in three languages:
English, French and Spanish. AeroSmart™ will be available in early
2007.
The AeroSmart™ Dryer is available in either gas
or electric platforms. The DG27CW1 (gas model) retails
for $899 and the DE27CW1 (electric model) retails for
$879.
