The all-new AquaSmart clothes washer will meet the tough
new CEE criteria for Tier 2 efficiency. According to
The Consortium for Energy Efficiency (CEE), a nonprofit
public benefits corporation, washers meeting the CEE
Tier 2 save at least 341 kWh of energy per unit annually
over a washer meeting the 2007 federal standard.* A Tier
2 washer also saves 7,693 gallons of water per unit annually.**
This means you can save substantial energy and water

Efficiency without compromise
Fisher & Paykel’s AquaSmart® clothes washer
includes advanced Fisher & Paykel features including
a unique low profile agitator, automatic water level
selection and temperature sensing for the most efficient
use of laundry detergent.

a standard clothes washer without compromising clothes

“The machine’s unique low profile agitator
works to gently roll the clothes over each other to remove
soil,” continued Mawhinney. The AquaSmart® agitator
and wash action is gentle on clothing, while the concentration
of soap to water makes for a highly effective wash.
The AquaSmart® rinse system uses specially designed
nozzles to more efficiently wash your clothes. By distributing
the right amount of water in a unique pattern, AquaSmart® is
able to distribute detergent more evenly throughout the
wash cycle, and it’s able to rinse your clothing
much faster. This dramatically reduces water consumption
as compared with standard clothes washers.
The AquaSmart® also monitors incoming hot and cold water to ensure
the right temperature. Because detergent performance drops off below
68° F, Fisher & Paykel clothes washers give you a "controlled
cold" option to automatically add a little warm water to cold washes
to bring them up to 68° F.
Consistent with all Fisher & Paykel washing machines,
AquaSmart® is capable of spinning its load at an
amazing 1000 rpm removing the vast majority of water
from the clothing, therefore reducing drying time and
conserving energy if the clothing is dried by a tumble
dryer.
Dual Wash Mode: High Efficiency and Conventional
Immersion washing
“The genius behind AquaSmart® is that it gives
you all the benefits of both styles of washing machines,” Mawhinney
continued. “The Dual wash mode allows the choice
between High Efficiency Mode and Traditional Wash Mode.
In Traditional mode, the clothing is fully immersed in

AquaSmart® clothes washer and matching AeroSmart™ dryer
will be available in early 2007.
