FISHER & PAYKEL CONTINUES TO INNOVATE

HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA – In New Zealand,
Fisher & Paykel Appliances is known as the dependable

In America, Fisher & Paykel is often seen as an innovative
brand especially known for their DishDrawer® Dishwasher
and Eco Smart laundry systems. They are also known as offering
‘European’ styling but generally delivered in
a more robust format and with a larger capacity.
This year, Fisher & Paykel continues the tradition by
offering a number of new products including the revolutionary
Luna™ gas-in-glass concept range unveiled at this year’s
Kitchen and Bath Show in Chicago. Yet Fisher & Paykel
has never been one to leave well enough alone. This year,
Fisher & Paykel also announces a number of improvements
to its existing lines including more styling options and additional

Fisher & Paykel laundry pairs now feature seamless
styling and an innovative “TopDeck”
Fisher & Paykel’s updated EcoSmart™ washer
model GWL15 replaces the GWL11 and features a grey console
rather than the traditional blue. You can pair the new EcoSmart™
washer with the innovative top-loading SmartLoad™ dryer.
The new SmartLoad™ DGGX2 (gas) and DEGX2 (electric)
dryers replace the DGGX1 and DEGX1 and feature a grey console
to match the updated EcoSmart™ washer for an integrated
and seamless design. You can also pair the updated EcoSmart™
washer with the new front-loading 09 dryers with “TopDeck”.
Many people use the top of a dryer to fold laundry. But the
traditional enameled steel tops of dryers chip and scratch
easily. Now, with the TopDeck work surface available on all
front-loading 09 dryers, you have something that’s designed
for the task. Made of durable ABS resin with an inset design,
the TopDeck makes it easier to fold laundry and provides a
durable work surface for years to come. The new front-loading
DE09 (electric) and DG09 (gas) dryers replace the existing
DE08 and DG08. The EcoSmart™ washer GWL15 and matching
09 dryers will be available during the second quarter of 2006.
Fisher & Paykel’s updated refrigerators
and cooktops offer additional styling options, convenience
features and improved performance.
Fisher & Paykel’s Active Smart™ refrigerators
will be updated with a new flat-door design in the third quarter
of 2006. An optional filtered water dispenser and icemaker
will be available as well. True to its innovative spirit,
the Active Smart water dispenser offers an automatic ‘measured
fill’ facility which has preset quantities of a cup
(8.5 fl. oz), glass (10 fl. oz) or pitcher (33.8 fl. oz) measuring
out an exact quantity of water which is ideal for consumers
who do a lot of baking or cooking. These preset measurements
can also be adjusted in .85 fl. oz increments to allow for
recipes that call for a specific measure.
Also look for our new Fisher & Paykel GC913 cooktop with
a brass triple-ring rapid-burner in the second quarter of
2006. It’s capable of up to 20,000 BTUs – one-third
more heating power than comparable cooktops for reduced heating
times. The GC913 also features a low-simmer setting for finer
control and LED readout for improved visibility.
