When it comes to optimal food preservation, one temperature does not fit all. Variable Temperature Zones give you full control over the way you care for food. At the touch of a button, easily convert the lower right compartment to Freezer, Soft Freeze, Chill or Fridge mode to best suit different types of food. Adjust zones for maximum everyday convenience, or change modes to provide additional chilling capacity for special occasions.

Chill Mode
Keep ready-to-eat food fresher for longer with Chill Mode (-2 to 1°C). Chill Mode is a perfect solution for everyday life. It keeps meats, poultry and fish as cool as possible, retaining vital freshness and helps food retain its condition for around three times longer than Fridge Mode. It’s also great for entertaining. Set a zone to Chill Mode to quickly bring beverages down to serving temperature.

Soft Freeze Mode
Soft freeze (-9 to -5°C) is perfect for food that will be consumed soon – but not right away. Set a zone to Soft Freeze Mode and enjoy optimal food storage and everyday convenience. Soft frozen food requires only a quick thaw rather than a full defrost. It is the ideal setting for easy portioning, such as cut loaves of bread, soups and even cured meats.

Very Happy
We really like the minimal design and black glass finish, it goes very well with our new kitchen. The ice maker is a very practical feature inside the freezer. There is plenty of room inside the fridge for large platters when entertaining. Fingerprints are easily removed with a glass cleaner spray.

Purchased this fridge recently and we are very happy with its performance. Very quiet when operational and keeps the vegetables and fruits fresh. Very spacious inside and the water dispenser works well and does not take up much space inside the fridge.

Review: fisher paykel 690l recessed handle quad do
Purchased from HN Darwin. All fine with HN service etc. But must admit if I had my time over again I wouldn't buy this fridge, nor would I recommend others buy it. Main issues are around the cold water and ice:
1. Cold water supply is too slow. I can't see this function being used by my family in the longer-term because it takes too long to fill a glass/cup.
2. Cold water temp isn't cold enough and there's no pragmatic way to lower it. The cold water temp appears to correlate to the internal fridge temp - the colder the fridge, the colder the water. My fridge temp is set to 2 deg celsius. At this fridge temp the output water temp is borderline too warm. If I want to cool the water more, I'll need to lower the fridge temp beyond 2 deg. C, which isn't pragmatic.
3. The ice producer is crap - it doesn't work as it should.
Living in the tropics, cold water and ice supply are important. Based on the performance of this fridge in these regards, I don't recommend it. Aside from these things, though, it's good. It's certainly a nice looking appliance. But functionality needs to be better.

Prints show, hard to clean, hard to close!
Fridge looks great and has LOTS of room inside! However, finger prints and hand prints show wherever you touch it, and the instructions for cleaning a black matt fridge are incredibly tedious and time consuming for a very disappointing result. The doors to the fridge have a very clunky closing action, so you have to give an extra push to the door to close it effectively. The water dispenser has a very annoying trait of continuing to run water once the button has been deactivated, so you think you have finished filling your glass and move your glass away, but the water continues dispensing. Overall this fridge is very disappointing on so many levels. It is a chore close the doors effectively, and is SO hard to clean!
