Luisa Jamieson is one of Fisher & Paykel’s experts in all things refrigeration. Her deep insights into best foodcare practices and the way people want to experience their kitchen is evident in every Fisher & Paykel refrigerator or freezer.
Auckland born and raised, and with a Bachelor of Applied Science in food-science and marketing, Luisa has been with us five years.
During the lockdown period, Luisa, her sister and her partner have moved to the family farm north of Auckland to stay with their parents and the family dog. She’s always been close with her family, so it’s a chance to spend this time with those she loves most.
I try take inspiration from everyday life and turn it into something really meaningful and useful for our customers. We all want our appliances to do the things they’re expected to do. A fridge should cool well. A cooktop should be precise. I try to bring insights that help us go above and beyond; that make our products beautiful to use. I like to take a step back from the detail and look at what the deeper needs of our customers truly are.
A good oven is something I can’t go without. I love sweets and baking, so having a good oven is something that allows me to get more creative with my cooking. I’m an extravert, so cooking for me is something that is about bringing the people in my life together to communicate and share.
It’s a really weird time and one where there is a lot of noise about. It is less of a life hack and more of a consideration into how we treat ourselves during this time – not putting too much pressure on ourselves. Talking time to disconnect, to spend that time engaging with the family, walking the dog, or just taking a few moments of peace and quiet alone.
