Possible Causes
- The oven runs a cooling fan after cooking to lower the temperature
- After high heat or long cooking, the fan may run longer while it clears leftover heat
- Warm kitchens or covered vents slow cooling and can extend fan run time
How to Fix
- Leave the oven off and the door closed. The cooling fan will stop automatically once the oven is cool.
- Do not switch the oven off at the wall. The fan is needed to prevent overheating and protect internal components.
- If the fan keeps running when the oven is cool, or the noise is unusual, book a service.
Helpful Tips
- After high-temperature cooking or self-clean, longer fan run times are normal.
- Keep vents clear and do not cover them with cookware, trays, foil, or towels.
- Turn on the rangehood during and after cooking to move warm air and moisture.
