Rated 2 out of 5 by from Sub-Par I have purchased other Fisher Paykel products before and there were issues then. I have to say there wasn't one in the showroom I was able to look at, but the installer recommended it for the space I had. Upon arrival I noticed there is no digital thermometer read out. There were only two drawers for fruit and vegetables. I had to purchase an extra drawer and digital thermometer. No one could tell me where the filter was located and much to my disappointment in is in the back of the refrigerator and it very inconvenient. On top of all this I was told by both retailers that I would get a rebate, that didn't happen either.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A nice size but has many freezer issues I like the refrigerator because it is counter depth size and I have a small galley kitchen. I love the finish of the fridge too. I do like that I can change the height of the shelves and customize them to the level that I want. What I don't like is there is no light in the freezer compartment and the freezer drawer makes a grinding noise when you open and close it. It is also hard to access the ice compartment bin. I was not pleased when I found out that the filter for the ice maker goes in the back of the fridge and the set up is very awkward so even though I had the hook up for an ice maker I decided not to use the ice maker. If I had known this ahead of time, I would not have purchased the fridge with the ice maker. If I want to use the bin that is originally designated for the ice maker to store something else it is hard to access.For the money that I paid for this fridge these issues are very disappointing to say the least.

The cooling and freezing is precise and the produce drawers, with their humidity controls, help keep my vegetables and fruit fresh. The water filter helps make the ice crystal clear. I really like the door alarm and the self-closing door.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well-designed, very quiet operation. This refrigerator looks very nice on the outside, fits well under our cabinets, and had a lot of usable space inside. It runs quietly, does a good job at making ice, and keeps inside temps steady. Due to its design, it is very easy to locate items that are stored inside. While I can't speak to long-term reliability, we are very pleased with this purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Simple, single door - perfect The refrigerator is well built and not too fussy. I especially like the single door. No more guessing which side to open or making sure flap side closes first or having to open the other door to use a full pull out drawer.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good But Not Wonderful and a Few Surprises The Fisher & Paykel refrigerator was one of my few available choices to fit nicely in the kitchen refrigerator recess in my 100-year old house. It was about $800 more expensive than my other few choices and was advertised as "counter depth." I liked the look and inside layout. I added the ice feature, which came with some surprises. Upon delivery, I was surprised to learn that the water filter is an external filter that had to be mounted on the wall behind the refrigerator or visibly on a wall or cabinet alongside. The appliance salesperson and I were unaware of this, as F&P's sales documentation and user manual did not mention that. I had the filter installed behind the refrigerator so as not to drill into new wall tile on either side. That means that when the filter needs to be changed, I will need to pull the unit away from the wall. The delivery people were surprised that the ice maker mechanism was not already installed in the unit, (as it apparently had been before) and I had to pay another $125 to have that done. The pullout tray in the freezer sometimes does not pull out completely and partially blocks access to the ice tray. An F&P technician came out for that issue and said there is nothing wrong with the tray; that's just how it's designed. If it gets stuck, I just need to move it back and forth a few times and it will pull out completely. On a positive note, F&P customer service personnel are highly responsive and the nicest ever. And the refrigerator does cool nicely and the freezer does indeed freeze and make ice.
