GETTING STARTED WITH SMARTHQ™

Fisher & Paykel connected appliances integrate seamlessly with SmartHQ™, letting you remotely control, monitor and manage your products from a single app. For hands-free help, your connected appliances will also work with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa.

1. DOWNLOAD SMARTHQ™

Then sign in or create an account. If you’re creating a new account, you’ll be asked to verify your email address, then return to the app to sign in.

2. SELECT YOUR APPLIANCE

After signing in, select the appliance you want to connect, and the type.

3. CONNECT WITH YOUR APPLIANCE

The connection experience varies per product. Within SmartHQ™, once you have selected your appliance, you'll be guided through steps to connect . Once connected, tap the button at the top right of the app to set up additional appliances.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Search for the model on the Fisher & Paykel website. Under the “Specifications” section on the product page, it will be listed as “Wi-Fi connectivity" or “Connected Fisher and Paykel Appliance”. You can also look for a page called “Wi-Fi Connection” or “Wi-Fi Connection and Remote” in your Use and Care Guide that came with the appliance.

Open the SmartHQ™ app, then tap on your connected appliance icon and you'll be able to see its status and a range of ways you can control it.

Yes – register a SmartHQ™ account, then share the login details with those you wish to view and control the connected appliance on that account. We recommend only sharing these details with people in your household that you know and trust, and that you use a strong password.

You'll need stable home Wi-Fi that can maintain a good connection to the part of your home your appliances are located. Connected Home appliances use 2.4ghz frequency and WPA encryption as a minimum. We recommend using WPA2 or WPA3 encryption if available. If you use a VPN, gateway login or have a non-standard environment, get in touch with us to check if you can connect.
