Column Refrigeration provides more choice in how you cool food and drink. Variable Temperature Zones in each compartment can be set for optimal storage, suiting the way you shop, cook, and entertain.
Variable Temperature Zone
At Fisher & Paykel, we've created Variable Temperature Zone technology, providing a new level of cooling flexibility to suit how you shop, cook and entertain. Separate food modes allow you to adjust the temperature independently, while ActiveSmart™ Foodcare intelligently adjusts airflow to create a stable and even temperature.
Independent Food Modes
Available on select cooling products, the Variable Temperature Zone gives you the freedom to personalise your storage needs.
Pantry Mode is designed for foods that require a cool, dark place for storage such as tomatoes, bananas, avocados, fresh herbs and tropical fruits - allowing these foods to ripen at the perfect rate.
11 to 13° C
Fridge Mode is best for everyday items such as fruit and vegetables, dairy-products, meats, preserves and drinks.
0 to 6° C
Chill Mode sets the temperature as close to freezing as possible to retain freshness in highly perishable seafood and meats, and for storing alcoholic drinks - perfect for entertaining.
-1.5 to 0° C
Soft Freeze Mode is for food that requires a gentle freeze and quick thawing. This mode allows easy portioning and the ability to heat, cook or serve straight from the compartment, without waiting for it to thaw.
-10 to -6° C
Freezer Mode is the most suitable mode for everyday frozen foods that require storage between 1 to 12 months. Store frozen foods such as meat, poultry, seafood, precooked foods, frozen fruits, vegetables and ice cream.
-21 to -14° C
Deep Freeze Mode has a fixed low temperature, ideal for items that require longer storage periods. This mode extends the shelf-life of general frozen items by up to 6 months.
The temperatures described for each food mode are based on default mode temperatures and the temperatures across our range of products.
The actual temperature range varies depending on your product, please refer to your user guide for details.
